This was her place of rest, of beauty and joy. A place of pure serenity, where none could enter and destroy. She had nurtured it, had made it her own, had taken some of her most trusted students here. It was place to not only rest the mind, but heart and body as well. To let all emotion flow freely without judgment or harsh words.
The meadow was a beautiful green, and today the sky was a beautiful Cerulean blue. Light Blue Tiger lilies burst from the ground, along with purple roses and pink tulips. Each flower held a dew drop each one represented a tear. There was an extremely warm breeze and trees of willows and aspens surrounded the perimeter.
Serinity walked along the gravel path, listening to the sound of the birds and the breeze, of the crunch of gravel under her soft boots. She had let her long red hair out of the French braid it was in, and it fell in crimps to her waist. She was wearing black pants and a blue tank top that matched her pale skin. She was a stunning sight if one were to see her. Her emerald eyes scanned for a place to sit, and quietly gently she rested against a gentle rock. She laid her sword next to her, and allowed her head to bow low.
The tears came then. They fell gently, no longer did she cry hard, she was trained to well for that, and if her students found her, they would scoff at her weakness. It was grief that consumed her heart this day, and it was truly torn.
She had been given a mission, and breaking it she returned to Japan. If not once it was to look at the ruins of the village, once her place of training and stability now a place of death and destruction. The mission she was given was a puzzling one, and Serinity had returned to the US, to find this journalist. But the mission was frustrating, and so Serinity had come back to Japan not only to get some peace but search for clues in the ruins of her village.
Picking up her head, she looked out over her meadow and down the hill to where a crystal blue lake glittered in the sun. She wiped her eyes and took a deep breath. Closing her eyes, she allowed herself to feel everything around her, as she was trained. The air blew around her, and she could feel the sun warm her back. Without her masks up she allowed herself to smile no longer thinking of the danger and missions ahead, but being herself, Just Serinity
