Character Full Name: Clyde Demetrius Constantine
Age: 22
Race (Ninja,Elf Faery etc): Human
Wealth (Income): He's currently unemployed and with no permanent home, forced to travel from village to village doing odd jobs in order to survive.
Clan you wish to be in (if Any): Dragon (rogue)
Character Inner Personality: For a person so outwardly goofy, Clyde has a deep sense of moral responsibility. Although he repeatedly tells himself he should just look out for himself and ignore the suffering of others, he often finds himself lending a hand in the end (despite all his grumbling about it). To some extent he understands he will probably never break out from beneath his father's shadow. They just aren't cut from the same cloth and that is the primary source of his shame. Clyde is cursed with an unusually pure heart for someone born of the Dragon Clan. He doesn't care for bloodshed and would rather defeat an enemy on equal footing as opposed to capitalizing on emotional or physical weaknesses by resorting to underhanded tricks. There are days when he curses his misfortune, wishing either to be cold-blooded like his father and brothers or to have been born into any other clan than his own. Though he deeply admires his father's strength, Clyde loathes the man's blind obedience. What could be more despicable than a man who would banish his own son to poverty and homelessness just because he doesn't want to abide by the way of the clan?
Character Outer Personality: Due to his upbringing, Clyde is quite suspicious of the motivations of others. He thinks the gods have dealt him a bad hand and so he is very bitter and filled with self-pity. Believing that people will not bother him if he comes across as harmless and useless, Clyde tends to act more ridiculous and feeble than he truly is. He carries a walking stick with him and feigns a limp, fooling only idiots who don't realize how bad of an actor he is. His bad leg switches frequently, usually as a result of him being distracted or just plain absent-minded about his actions. He is extremely stubborn but all and all a pleasant guy once you get past how much of a nuisance he makes of himself. In his own way he's just looking for acceptance in a world that has done nothing but reject him for either his bloodline or his reluctance to adhere to what is expected of him.
Character Strengths: Despite his refusal to kill anyone in cold blood, Clyde is not as physically disabled as he pretends to be. He is actually very competent in hand to hand combat, specializing in weapons that are to be used at a close range. In battle he is both resourceful and fair. He won't strike an enemy in the back or below the belt. What defines him from his kind is his peculiar but pure heart. While he doesn't really want go around helping people he doesn't feel comfortable causing another person pain either. Generally if you're okay with him he's okay with you. He figures he'll always be an outcast anyway, why bother trying to impress anyone?
Character Weaknesses: Clyde's not a bad guy, but to put it plainly he can be a bit of an idiot. He is most certainly not his father's son. To avoid conflict he plays the part of an injured wanderer, not at all guilty about being dishonest if it means he doesn't have to fight and get himself into trouble. He thinks it's perfectly fine to run from battle if you can't win. It's no wonder that he's earned himself a reputation as a notorious liar. Clyde has a weaknesses for pretty girls and so upon meeting one he immediately attempts to appeal to what he calls "their maternal instincts" by acting pathetic and weak.
Character Physique: Much to the aid of his disguise, Clyde is not blessed with a particularly large build. He is lean but not nearly as muscular as the other males in his family. You could easily mistake him for being a runt. He is about average height, not exceptionally large or intimidating with auburn hair and barely tan skin. No one has or ever will expect much of him and so he has resigned himself to that, despite the fact that there is more to him than meets the eye. He frequently comes across as looking like nothing better than a bum with his extremely relaxed posture and mindlessly vacant stares. Seldom can he ever be found smiling, life has been rough on him and these days he finds little to be thankful for.
Character History: Clyde was born into the Dragon Clan. His father was a highly respected warrior for his strength and complete and utter ruthlessness in battle. Some say that he would cut his own son's throat if his superiors asked him to. For much of his life, Clyde lived in fear of his father's reputation as a heartless killer. He simultaneously despised and loved his father, wishing that one day he might prove himself to be just as strong or stronger. The only problem was that Clyde really didn't want to kill anyone. The sight of blood and war disgusted him and even just hearing his friends and family speak of it in such glorified terms only made his stomach churn.
Sensing his son's weakness, Clyde's father decided to send the boy abroad as a pre-teen to be raised by his outcast brother. It was not out of hatred that he did this but rather out of love. He did not want his son to be labeled as an outsider or undesirable and shunned for the rest of his life by his own people. Clyde's uncle was to raise him to be a warrior, one suitable to rejoin the Dragon Clan once he had proven himself above his "purity".
Unfortunately, Clyde's uncle died of a mysterious illness before being able to tell the boy why he had been sent to live with him in the first place. And so Clyde has always felt abandoned and refuses to return to the clan and his family. Instead he has chosen to wander and carve out his own path, seeing as how the one he was born into is one that he strongly disagrees with.
